Summer {edited}

He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.
Psalm 23:2-3

My big two girls are off on a wonderful adventure with grandparents. Before long, we will get to see all their photos, documenting the things they've seen and done.

Back home, I'm taking advantage of the unusual change in dynamics to observe and enjoy these four.

Today was a nice (though short...it's so hot) walk and some popsicles on the back porch.

God has refreshed my soul.

He stands ready to care for you, too!

{Edit - for my own memory's sake:

- CA usually dresses herself...the pretty striped dress and white sandals were all her. And, she'll ride way ahead if we don't rein her in

-MK on scooter beside CA: not a random arrangement. MK is very watchful, protective of her sisters and was vigilant about being on CA's "street side" throughout our walk. MK also prefers dresses and skirts. She's wearing the outfit MaMa gave her for her birthday here.

-LC is very observant and enjoyed looking all around on the ground for nature finds. She was rewarded for her looking: two half eggshells, several lovely colorful leaves, two small flowers (how on earth they survive this intense heat and drought??), and, an interesting rock.

-CA joined in the searching. For all of about 60 seconds. She found a leaf and wanted in on the photo-action.

-We'd had juice popsicles earlier on the porch. It was CJ's first time with one. She liked it, but tired quickly of trying to hold on to the icy treat, and promptly it became a sticky, nasty mess. But so cute.

  2. Thanks, L! I've never played with sepia before...it was fun...and I liked the way it seemed to communicate the heat of the day, too!
