Carried Across the Finish Line

There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.
Deuteronomy 1:30

My four oldest girls start school tomorrow. This day is quite a milestone for me - the transition to a new season. Feels like I'm finishing a marathon, carried over this finish line by the Lord, so that I can start on a fresh challenge: let the academics begin.

And this racer is tired tonight, so she's off to bed!

I'll have more here when the dust settles a bit during their first week in school.

In time, I hope to catch up on the summer - those FOUR birthdays we celebrated in one month; the wonderful last session of swim lessons, and so on. I figure that winter's a pretty dead time for me on getting fun and bright photographs, so that may be when I pull out all the summer stock and play catch up on June, July, August 2011.
